Inbound Logistics (1/31/19, Thomas Publishing Company) posted an article on consumers needing instant gratification more in today's market due to new business models' companies are presenting.  Today's Technology, Tomorrow's Demand written by Mohammed Hajibashi describes how Software Companies are in a rush to make sure they have the best features in the quickest amount of time.  Companies are searching for ways to develop quicker and more efficiently to ensure their customers and prospective customers are getting everything they need as fast as possible.  This has been the case for many years and for every company, however, since Amazon released the 2 - day shipping, consumers are demanding items even quicker.  With this demand, it shows what companies can handle.  How fast is your request being handled from a company?  Software companies are looking to develop items before you even know your company needs that type of tool or application. Customers are being presented with options they did not realize they even needed. To stay ahead of the competition, you must look ahead to what a customer is going to want before they know they want it.  Amazon has obviously been a leader in knowing what their consumer is wanting before they know they want it.  What other companies do you feel has been good at these types of predictions of what people need?
